Farewell, London!

Today we are homeward bound! Now that the day is here, we are overjoyed! It’s been full two weeks away and our travel itch has definitely been scratched!

We fueled up with one last breakfast, finished packing our bags and walked to Paddington Station with our loaded backpacks strapped on tight.

We bought two tickets for the Heathrow Express train. They aren’t kidding when they say express. It only took us 15 minutes to get to the Terminal 3 transfer train.

We found a coffee spot to drink a latte and work on our iPads until the plane was ready to board. I also grabbed some last souvenirs for the kids to use up the rest of our pounds.

By 12:10 we were at our gate and ready to board the plane. We settled in for a 12:55pm departure and an 8-hour flight to Minneapolis.

We landed just a little after 3:00Ppm in Minneapolis, an hour earlier than we had expected! It felt so good to touch down on American soil and to know that we were only a 3-hour car ride away from Home Sweet Home.
